Regarding Japanese Language Classes

1. How do I apply for Japanese language classes?
You can study Japanese at the language classes hosted by CCIEA and the ones hosted by volunteers if you are a foreigner who live, work, or study in Chuo City.

2. How many classes can I apply for?
You can apply for one of the three classes hosted by CCIEA. There is no limit in applying for the classes hosted by volunteers.
3. I neither live nor work in Chuo City. Can I take the Japanese classes?
We are sorry, but you cannot take classes hosted or supported by CCIEA. Volunteer Japanese language classes may be offered in the community you live in as well. You can look for them in the Tokyo Nihongo Volunteer Network.外部リンク

Regarding CCIEA and Its Projects

1. Do you have foreign language classes?
Currently, we do not have plans to open one.
2. Is there any place where I can interact with Japanese people?
CCIEA holds events, such as “International Exchange Party” and “International Exchange Salon” to provide foreigners and Japanese people with opportunities to interact with each other. Please refer to the related pages for the details.
3. Do you have an interpretation or translation service?
CCIEA dispatch volunteer interpreters or provide translation service only when we receive a request from Chuo City or public organizations, etc. related to Chuo City. We are sorry, but we do not accept personal requests.
4. I cannot speak Japanese. Is a consultation available in a foreign language?
Currently, CCIEA does not provide consultations in foreign languages. Please refer to Useful Information for Foreigners for the information that you may need.
5. Do you have a referral service of host-family for home-stay?
CCIEA arranges a host-family only when we receive a request from Chuo City or public organizations, etc. related to Chuo City. We are sorry, but we do not accept personal requests.
6. When is your office hours?
We are open from 8:30 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday, and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturday. (except public holidays and from Dec. 29 through Jan. 3)
We may be open during the night time under some business situations, so please contact us to see if we are open.
